As a Pet Service Provider you will be expected to provide superior customer service and reliability to our clients, have a passion for caring for pets of all kinds, and have flexibility. A majority of the pets we care for are cats and dogs, but we also care for pocket pets, birds, and reptiles. Flexibility is important as your schedule will depend on the dates and times that our clients need us. If you have another job, we do work around your availability.
You will be tasked with Meet & Greets with potential clients, Drop-in Visits, Walks, Overnights, Pet Taxi, Medication Administration, and basic Grooming services. To read about each service check out our Services Page!
We are currently looking to hire someone who would be available on Wednesdays – Fridays as well as other days as needed or Fridays – Sundays as well as other days as needed. This is a part-time position and there is not a set weekly schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of veterinary experience (e.i. veterinary technician or veterinary assistant) OR have credentials (e.i. CVA, CVT, RVT, LVT, VTS). You do not have to be currently employed in the veterinary field. Your application will not be considered without a resume to show your experience. What makes our team unique is our presence as veterinary professionals; it allows us to provide the highest standard of care.
- You must be physically able to handle the requirements of the position. This could include walking or lifting large dogs, cleaning up bodily wastes, dealing with muddy yards, etc.
- You must be willing to commit to a minimum of nine months. Our clients rely on our dependability and stability.
- If you are simply looking for a job until you find a permanent job or return back to school, please do not apply.
- You must be available to work some of the major holidays. (Holiday compensation will be provided).
- You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills when interacting with clients.
- You must be willing to work in all weather conditions – rain, temperature extremes, etc.
- You must live in one of our servicing areas or be willing to travel to our service areas (Cape Coral, Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, Estero, and Bonita Springs).
- You must be dependable and reliable.
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
Pay
The pay is based on the commission you make for the services you complete. Taxes do not get deducted automatically as you would be categorized as a subcontractor.
