Pocket pets are a growing trend and for good reason. They’re low-maintenance pets that can be easily cared for by children or adults alike. But what happens when you leave town for vacation? Many of your friends will be willing to care for your pets while you’re away, but it’s not always feasible to ask them to come into their homes multiple times a day in order to feed and clean up after little critters that barely weigh one pound!
There’s also the issue of whether they will be comfortable in an unfamiliar place with new people around them all the time—not exactly ideal circumstances if they have been used exclusively as house pets their entire lives.
How does it work?
The first step after filling out a Booking Request is to set up a meet and greet with one of our very capable pet sitters. Next, we come to your home, feed, and play with your pocket pets. If you are away from home for an extended period of time we can take care of their food and water as well.
We will also take pictures during our visit and send them to you via text or email so that you can see what your pet looks like when he/she is being taken care of by us.
We come to your home
Our staff cleans up after themselves as well as your pocket pets and will leave you a report of their visit. This includes photos and videos of the animals’ activity while we were there. You can see how much they enjoyed themselves!
We feed & care for your pocket pets when you are away
If you are away from home for more than one day, we will feed your pocket pets according to their eating habits.
For example:
- We can feed hamsters and gerbils twice a day with a variety of fresh food as well as a mix of dry food.
- For ferrets, we can feed them daily with mixed fruit and vegetables along with kibble or pellets depending on the type of food they eat usually at home.
- As for guinea pigs and rabbits, we can feed them three times daily either commercially prepared pelleted foods or fresh vegetables and hay for grazing which can be offered twice daily in addition to commercial pellets once per day.
You can also fully customize the schedule on when we come and what gets fed to your pets.
We pet & play with your pocket pets when you are away
We love pocket pets and we will take the best care of your pet by:
- Playing with them
- Giving them treats
- Filling their food and water bowls
- Cleaning their enclosure if necessary

We give you a full report of our visits
When you are away, we will send you a full report with pictures. You can see how your pets are doing while you are away and be sure that they have been fed properly and played enough.
If you have any questions or concerns about your pets while you are away, we can answer them for you. We will send you a report of how your pets are doing every day and let you know if anything unusual happens. This report with consist of a summary of the visit along with pictures of your pets, so that you can see how they are doing. If there is anything unusual about the way your pets are acting, we will let you know and take appropriate action.
